Online Building Permit Applications

  • As part of an effort to move towards a more paperless and efficient service delivery, the City of Chilliwack has created an online portal to accept building permit applications online. This portal integrates with the City's existing Tempest Prospero permitting system and utilizes Avolve's ProjectDox cloud-based software for digital review and mark-up of building permit drawings submissions
  • At this time, the City is in the final stages of testing and development of this online option, and is accepting a limited number of digital submissions.  For applicants wishing to use a digital option for their building permit application, you are asked to send an e-mail to [email protected]. One of our technical staff will make contact and assess whether your project can be processed through this model.

Building Inspections

  • General Building Inspection requests must be received before 3:30pm at least one business day prior to the inspection being required.
  • You can schedule a Building Inspection yourself quickly and easily 24/7 using our online eInspections system. Alternatively, you can call 604 793-2905 during business hours. You will be asked to provide the street address, the permit/folder number, as well as the type of building inspection being requested.
